A quick hello before we talk numbers
Hi, I’m Becky. I know pricing is one of the biggest questions when you’re planning an event, and it can feel frustrating when things aren’t clear. This guide is meant to explain how our pricing works, what actually affects the cost, and what most events typically look like behind the bar.
Instead of locking you into packages that may or may not fit, we build pricing around what it truly takes to serve your guests well. My goal is for you to feel informed, confident, and never surprised.
Here's how it works:
We have two bar experiences. One focuses on beer and wine, the other adds custom cocktails. Both include professional bartenders, full setup, and everything needed to keep the bar running smoothly.
Your investment depends on three things: how many hours, how many guests, and what you want to serve. That’s it.
How our pricing is built
Pricing for mobile bartending isn’t based on what you call your event. It’s based on what it takes to serve your guests well and keep the bar running smoothly.
When we build a quote, we focus on three main factors.
Service Hours:
The number of hours your bar is open, along with setup and breakdown time, plays a big role in pricing. Longer events require more staffing time and preparation to keep service consistent from start to finish.
Guest Count
How many people you’re serving affects staffing needs and service flow. Our goal is to keep lines short and drinks moving so guests enjoy the experience instead of waiting.
What We’re Serving
The type of drinks planned impacts how much preparation, staffing, and coordination is required. Simpler menus take less time to execute, while full bars and signature cocktails require more behind-the-scenes work to do well.
How alcohol works: Colorado law requires you to provide your own beer, wine, and spirits, but we make it ridiculously easy.
We’ll tell you exactly what to buy, how much you need, and where to get it. Some clients even have us help with pickup and returns.
You supply it, we serve it beautifully. Simple as that.
Two ways to serve you beautifully
Every event is different. We keep things simple by offering two core experiences that cover most celebrations, with room to customize if needed.
Beer + Wine Experience
Investment starts at $500
The Beer + Wine Experience is perfect for events that want professional bar service without the need for cocktails.
We provide certified, insured bartenders to serve beer and wine smoothly and responsibly.
What’s included
- Professional bartending service
- Beer and wine service only
- Setup and breakdown of the bar area
- Standard bar tools and supplies
- Responsible alcohol service and guest care
This experience works beautifully where simplicity and flow matter most.
Full Bar Experience
Investment starts at $850
The Full Bar Experience is our most popular option and delivers a fully elevated bar moment.
In addition to beer and wine, we craft custom cocktails designed around your event style, guest count, and vibe.
What’s included
- Everything in Beer + Wine Experience
- Custom cocktail menu (typically 2–3 cocktails)
- Fresh mixers, juices, garnishes and ice
- Disposable Drinkware
- Bar setup and tools
- Our portable bar or trailer bar
- Experienced cocktail bartenders
This is ideal for couples and hosts who want their bar to feel thoughtful, personal, and memorable.
Think of it this way: You’re not just paying for bartending, you’re investing in seamless execution, professional service, and a celebration where you can actually be present instead of managing the bar.
Have something else in mind? We can customize your bar experience to fit your event.
We’re fully licensed and insured, including general and liquor liability.
Which experience is right for you
Choose based on how you want your bar to feel, not how complicated you want planning to be.
Choose the Beer + Wine Experience if:
- You’re serving beer and wine only (no cocktails needed)
- You want professional service without the bar being a focal point
- You’re prioritizing budget while keeping quality high
The Full Bar Experience is ideal if:
- You want custom cocktails that match your celebration’s style
- You want the bar to be a conversation starter and memorable detail
- You’re willing to invest more for a fully elevated experience
Still not sure? That’s completely normal. Tell us about your celebration and we’ll recommend the perfect fit based on your guest count, vibe, and priorities.
Optional experience enhancements
Every event is different. These enhancements can be added to either experience to elevate the bar and tailor it to your celebration.
Available enhancements may include:
- Two-Tap Keg System – Serve draft beer from our mobile tap system
- Champagne Wall – An elegant champagne display for toasts, arrivals or even doughnuts!
- Dirty Soda Bar – A trend, interactive soda and syrup bar
- Craft Mocktail Bar – Non-Alcoholic cocktails for non-drinking guests
- Extended service time – Maybe you just want more time, we got you
You don’t need to decide on any of this right now. We’ll walk through what makes sense once we confirm availability and learn more about your event.
What our clients say
Don’t just take our word for it. Here’s what hosts say about working with us:
Common questions before moving forward
These are a few questions that often come up after reviewing pricing.
Our bar service includes professional bartenders, bar setup, all tools and equipment, ice, cups, napkins, mixers, garnishes, and planning support before your event. We also handle setup and breakdown on event day.
You provide the alcohol. We take care of everything else needed to run the bar smoothly.
Yes, the bar setup is included. Depending on your space and event needs, we bring our trailer bar, a standalone portable bar, or both. There’s no additional charge for the bar setup itself.
You’ll supply the alcohol for your event. Colorado laws don’t allow mobile bartenders to sell alcohol.
Once we know your guest count and drink menu, we’ll help you plan quantities and create a clear shopping guide so you know exactly what to buy, where to buy it and even handle the pickup and returns (in some cases); free of charge.
Pricing is based on the details that affect service behind the bar, including service hours, guest count, and the type of drinks being served. More complex menus or longer events require additional preparation and staffing.
We build pricing around what your event actually needs, rather than using one-size-fits-all packages.
Yes. Our bartenders are insured as employees of The Portable Pour, and we carry both general and liquor liability insurance. If your venue requires a certificate of insurance, we’re happy to provide one.
The next step is to start a quick chat with us. We’ll walk through your event details, answer any remaining questions, and build a custom quote that fits your plans.
